Jeannie's bedroom....
Did anyone else love Jeannie's bedroom in her bottle? OMG, she had the most girly feminine and most awesome bedroom ever. I always wanted to have my bedroom like hers..

shareA window would have been nice.
shareI loved seeing the inside of her bottle :D. It was soooo pretty. I actually found a behind-the-scenes photo of it, and it turns out, they only built part of the room!

I actually liked the pretty jeweled room in later seasons. The earlier bottle interior was kinda dark and dull compared to the one we saw later.
I love her satin pillows and her purple bedding.
shareWell of course they only built part of the room....😂.....if they build an entire small oval room they would not be able to film in there....
shareTrue :). It would be hard to get a camera into a room like that without one wall missing.
What I don't understand is, why is her room so filthy in the photograph? It looks all dirty and neglected, whereas most of the time, her room was very clean, brightly colored, and the pillows always looked brand new. I also don't remember an episode where her bottle room looked like that. I mean, she had water poured on her head, she had her bottle washed or turned upside down, but I don't ever recall seeing tons of gray dust all over her stuff.
Things photograph differently with film cameras than still cameras. Maybe the actual set was subtly colored, and made to look different with brilliant pink lighting.
The sixties were the heyday of inappropriately colored light setups, after all, color TV came in and the lighting directors all lost their minds.
I wonder if this is from I dream of Jeannie 15 years later. The cloths the grips are wearing don't look 1960's. Plus the photo is pretty low res and bad lighting...
shareIt is. Her harem clothing is the redesigned version for the movies. The bottle has been redesigned as well. I don't recall seeing any behind the scenes photos of the original sets for the first-season and color-seasons bottle interiors. Maybe some of the IDoJ collectors might post some images for us one of these days. I'll look through what I've found online, but I don't recall seeing any set pieces but enlarged items like the telephone, mugs, and pencil cups.
