When I saw "A Little Romance" for the first time it became clear to me that George Roy Hill liked stories about smart young girls in prep school plaids. After reading some of the posts here it is apparent how intense his interest was. I wonder if Diane Lane's experience with her director was similar to that of Tippy Walker?

No no no, Diane Lane was only twelve when she acted wuth George, no chance of anything like my experience.
