i thought the Ericofon was pretty cool looking, and i found out that you can still purchase them online, but what i wonder is, how do they work? i mean, i know it works like a regular phone, but what i mean, there's the one bit where he unplugs his phone by accident, and i noticed it doesn't look like your typical phone plug... do you have to have some sort of special outlet for it? or what? and if so, how would you go about getting that set up?

All phone outlets used to look like that, so it's not something special to the Ericofon. I'm sure you can still find standard adapters from four-prong to modular lines.

I'd seen some for sale that were rewired to a standard outlet.
I'd also seen an Ericofon in Sellers' "The Bobo" - he picks it up and can't figure how it works - mutters 'the devil's instrument!'
