Richard Attenborough upstage by his fake nose

It's really irritating as he is giving such a fine performance (I've had to turn it off as I wonder why Kim Stanley is not doing a British accent).

His nose kept bothering me. He had so many things to worry about that I couldn't help thinking that the first thing he would have done in real life would have been to rip it off his face and grind it with his foot.

I wonder why he wore it. Do you think it was his idea? I can't see how it adds anything to the character. Maybe he thought it made him look older.

I just came here to make the very same statement about the nose not adding anything at all to the character, or his performance. It was such a distraction.

Stanley would occasionally throw in a word or two pronounced with an accent, but it was totally unconvincing.

Attenborough gave an amazing performance despite the fake nose
