Why isn't this or the original Frosty on TV this year?
There's probably thousands of channels and none of them thought it would be a good idea to air two of the most popular Christmas specials of all time at all during the holiday season?

shareRudolph already aired on November 29, 2016 and Frosty was shown during the Thanksgiving weekend. Way too early.
You are better off to watch these on DVD since the networks and cable/satellite channels continue to cut out scenes so they can add more commercials.
I guess they thought they should air them early so they could get them out of the way so they could show football games all Christmas day instead.
shareI caught Frosty and even the other Frosty but missed Rudolph. Major sads.

Christmas isn't Christmas without Rudolph!

shareFrosty holds up more or less but this one is getting kinda dated.
Some younger viewers might not get why Rudolph is sent home because of his nose---or the toys are initially locked up on the island just because they are different from others.
This would have been obvious to my grandparents and my parents. Even I understood it--having been the first generation of kids receiving special education services.
It just aireed after rudolph today!
