Region 2 DVD?

I know this is out already on Region 1 with the Criterion Collection, but does anyone know of a european release?

I'm aching to see this film.

A quick is to make your dvd player multi-region. This is normally done via the remote. Seaqrch for dvd multi-region hacks and you should be able to find one for your machine. Great film.

I don't think it's available in Europe, but there is a Region 2 version in Japan, which seems to have better image quality than the Criterion.

The problem with asian releases is that the subs are often very bad in my opinion.

I saw a korean release of Old boy and one line was subbed something like "There are many skies but only one sky" which left me wonder. But I guess it was suppose to be "There are many skies but only one heaven". I don't think i've seen an asian released movie without errors in the subs. It's good that they often add "english" subs though.

Onibaba is a great movie and the criterion edition is ok.

Nice one.

Who gives a crap? The criterion disk has way better cover art and special features.

the whole world revolves around the USA. God forbid another country releases it on dvd, so that its own residents are able to watch it!

R2 dvd released August 2005 on Masters of Cinema label.
Has extras as commentary by director Kaneto Shindo, Intro by Alex Cox.
