This is not only one of the greatest african american movies but one of the greatest movies period. Much better than Killer Of Sheep which has no plot no real sense of importance. Instead of showing that movie on TCM, they should have show'd Nothing But A Man.
shareI really liked Nothing but a Man, but I feel you are giving Killer of Sheep the short shrift. It is a subtle film that requires a lot of its audience. you might try watching it again.
shareJust watched it on TCM. A strong, gritty, realistic movie. It was also interesting and enjoyable to see a young Yaphet Kotto make his film debut in this.
