Connie Stevens

She could sing and she was one of Warner's contract players at the time and was a big moneymaker for the studio. So underrated as an actress and singer, she could have won the Oscar over Julie had Jack Warner entrusted the role to her. She may not be as prolific today but Connie is a very wealthy woman who doesn't need to act in films anymore. But imagine how illustrious her career might have been had Jack Warner given her more meaty roles. She also wanted to be cast in Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, in the role that was given to the bland Sandy Dennis. Connie would have held her own against such stalwarts like Rex Harrison and Elizabeth Taylor.
