Why no gloves at the embassy ball?
Why are Higgins and Pickering the only people who are not wearing gloves at the embassy ball? Everyone else there is wearing white gloves.
shareI'd not noticed that before but you're right! All gentlemen wear white gloves at a white-tie affair, other than during the meal, so that the oils on their hands do not spoil the ladies' gowns.
