Coming to Blu-ray 5/13/14
Fate is the Hunter returns to home video with a Blu-ray release on May 13, 2014.
The disc is being released by Twilight Time, the same outfit that issued it on DVD in 2011 (now out of print). Price is $29.95. It'll be available exclusively from SAE (screenarchives.com) and like all TT discs will be a limited edition of 3000. Region 0. Available for pre-order approximately 25 days before its release date.
Since the film is an SAE exclusive this basically means no discounts or bargains.
Although there are as yet no details about extras or features TT discs normally have a booklet about the film (probably the same or similar as for the DVD) and an isolated score track. However, this release also includes an extra feature of some kind, called To Whom It May Concern: Ka Shen's Journey. No idea what this is; we'll probably have to wait until it's officially listed for sale in mid-April to find out.
ADDENDUM 4/23/14: As of this date the film is officially available for pre-order (still due for release on 5/13/14). Here are the complete details from its SAE page:
Note: Specially included on this Blu-Ray edition of Fate Is the Hunter is To Whom It May Concern: Ka Shen’s Journey, a poetic 2010 documentary about the life of co-star Nancy Kwan directed by Brian Jamieson.
