She did a MUCH better acting job (and played a much more likeable character) in an episode of THE SAINT with Roger Moore that involved voodoo (a sort-of precursor to LIVE AND LET DIE, only 10 times better-written).

Kind of a wanton hussy. I wonder if John ever read the "Dear John" letter or if she goes back and tears it up in time after he brings her out of the sewer.

She wasn't a "wanton hussy" at all, but rather classy and cultured. Her betrothal to John obviously wasn't set in stone in light of her comments to Adam (later revealed to be the Mummy's brother, cursed with immortality). John didn't seem very interested in her while the well-to-do and cultured Adam smoothly wooed her; it didn't hurt that Adam was the more handsome of the two men. You don't have to be an Einstein to figure out why Annette started to fall for Adam. Meanwhile she's not portrayed as having casual sex with anyone, so I'm not sure how exactly she could be accused of being a hussy.
