Lily in A House Divided *Spoilers*

Am I the only one that thinks Lily overreacted at the beginning of the episode when Herman and Grandpa were working on Eddie's birthday present in the garage? She said they were being childish by barring people from coming in the garage, but I think she made too big a deal out of it. Even though she was right later on when Herman and Grandpa were fighting, I just thought she overreacted at the beginning of the episode. Am I alone here?

I think Lily's reaction is based on how easily Herman and her father were distracted considering their history of working together. Since her first priority was Eddie's birthday gift, her reaction was probably normal, at least I never thought it was abnormal when I watched that episode.

But what *constantly* amazes me is how much of a dick Darren Stevens is to his Samantha (regarding her magic) and her relatives in Bewitched.

Both Dick York and Dick Sargent were dicks.

reply

LOL!

reply

What has that got to do with The Munsters.

reply

Well stmtz brought up Bewitched, not me! I was just responding.

reply

Hahaha. I honestly don't recall the episode. But it sounds like Lily was just being a bitch. If it's a surprise then fools should leave Herman and Gramps alone until they're done.

Her reaction to a fight later between the boys would have to stand on its own merits.

reply

Yeah, I think Marilyn's the only adult in that household sometimes, LOL.

reply

Lily usually doesn't clown around though. Marilyn was probably the most boring character.

reply

True, she doesn't clown around, but she can be just as childish as Herman and Grandpa. I like ALL the Munsters, though. :)

reply

Yes, you are alone here

reply

How come? Just out of curiosity. I just thought Herman and Grandpa wanted to make it special for Eddie and didn't want any interruptions.

reply

As the woman of the house, Lily had every right to know what Herman and Grandpa were up to. No husband shall keep any secrets from his wife

reply

I agree that couples shouldn't keep secrets from each other. I just thought she overreacted a little bit, because they wanted it to be a surprise.

reply

I disagree with your statement. A wife can keep secrets from her husband but not the other way around. For too long, society was very masculine controlled and its about time women got their rights back. I have no issue with a wife keeping secrets from her husband

reply

I don't think any couple should keep secrets from each other. Man or woman. But hey, to each their own. :) Have a good day!

reply

Thats pretty messed up if you think like that. For way too long our society was very toxic masculinity. Times are changing, so yes, wives can keep secrets from their husbands. Please be a little more sensitive in future posts

reply

Yeah. She was out of line. She wanted to know what they were making for Eddie whether they wanted her to or not.
