One of my favorite barbs is between Mrs. Howell and Erica Tiffany Smith:
Mrs H: Well, if you'll excuse me.
Erica: I always have.
Ouch! Lovey's expression is priceless as her blue blood looks like it's about to boil and come out as steam through her ears.
I always say the Howells made the show. The show would miss everyone else but the howells MADE the show!
the middle movie when they flew off the island in that WWII plane that somehow the professor never came across no matter how many times he scouted that damn island.... everyone else is getting the plane airworthy and the howells are 'resting for them' the entire exchange between the couple is hysterical.
Lovey: shouldn't we be helping in some way, Thurston?
Thurston: we ARE dear, we are resting FOR them.
Lovey: I am so glad we are doing our share. To us, darling.
Thurston: who else?

I agree - they were priceless. I remember a while back there was a thread on this page where people posted their favorite Howell lines. It's probably gone now.
