The actresses were about equally good looking -- which one you'd prefer on a purely physical level kind of depends on which one is closer to your own personal ideal of feminine beauty. But when you factor personality into it, Mary Ann all the way. Ginger would be high-maintenance and demanding, while Mary Ann would be more flexible and giving, and just a lot easier to live with. If Ginger were exponentially hotter than Mary Ann, that might make people more willing to put up with the high maintenance aspect of things, but when the looks of the two girls are about even, the nicer personality will tip the scale. And in the other direction... Well, Raquel Welch actually auditioned for the part of Mary Ann, but allegedly the producers thought she was too glamorous looking, so they hired Dawn Wells, who was a pretty, girl-next-door type, not an absolute sex bomb like Welch If Welch had gotten the part, I can't imagine anyone bothering to ask the question. Tina Louise was a beautiful woman, but she'd have been quite overshadowed by Raquel Welch.

shareI will recant my previous answer and say Maryann based on what the OP stated in his post. If he had said, "One night stand: Ginger or Maryann" my answer would be Ginger. But thinking about it some more, being stuck on a deserted island, I'm not sure if I want to put up with the kind of high maintenance that Ginger will demand. I'd have to do all the work to survive. At least Maryann would pitch in and cook, forage, find firewood, or fetch water, etc.
