No Flying Suit forAunt Clara?
It's just something you notice more if you watch several episodes back to back. I noticed that Clara seemed to wear the same black suit a lot.
I don't believe I ever saw Aunt Clara wear a "flying suit" like Endora and Samantha. Endora's green and lavender one suited her more bohemian, "out there" personality. Sam looked great in the black one, even though a blonde, she could carry it off.
But whenever Aunt Clara popped in, dropped down the chimney or ON the gazebo, she was usually wearing her black suit with the two big buttons and the fox furs.
Was that supposed to be her "flying suit"? Was it the age of the actress that they didn't dress her in one of those long filmy gowns? It would seem natural that witches would dress their age like mortal women. Although some women don't! It's hard to look at an elderly woman in shorts and a tank top. lol
Marion Lorne's costumes were flattering and suited her age and personality. It's just that there were so few of them. I think she finally got a new hat in 'The Corn's as High as the Guernsey's Eye' when Sam bought her one to cheer her up!
