Blinking questions

Why did they keep banging on about Julie not blinking? She did blink throughout the film. I saw her blink at least TEN times! Why were all the presumed aliens, gathered round Julie's empty dress at the end of the film, women? Also, I think it should have been made clear exactly WHY the aliens didn't want the scientists to succeed with their thought-travel formula. Good, spooky and suspenseful film, though.

they were referring to the long stretches when she didnt blink. The two scientists speculate that the strain of concentrating so much might lessen the illusion so that certain physical effects stop working. She must have let her guard down when her human form appeared to be asleep, since her eyes were open and pulse missing.
But I agree with the rest of your points. Otherwise a great script.
