Airing on THIS network in October of 2012

The THIS network, a retro network that airs old TV shows and some films, recently aired the film in October of 2012. Unfortunately, they play commercials during their programs. A film this powerful should NOT be interrupted by stupid commercial jingles and pitchmen.

Really, the Criterion Collection should release a DVD of this film, with filmmaker interviews, etc.

I started watching it on THIS and gave up because of the commercials. It is available as on online movie through Netflix right now though.

I was wondering why this isn't a Criterion movie too.

Perhaps people at Criterion think that this movie is too hammy (and heavy handed) as well as jejune to ever be released on DVD by them. If you have Netflix, you can always make a DVD recording using a DVD recorder, or wait for it to pop up on MGM HD and record it from there.

I think it was great that THIS TV had a Pink Panther cartoon at the end of the movie

It was on again today and will be shown again Wed. Dec 12th 4:00pm. At least that's what the schedule says for Detroit.
