I'd love to have a chess set like the one Zeus and Hera played with. Understandably it's not "official" chess . . . but the idea of playing with people, countries, cities and gods is fascinating.
Perhaps a modified version of something like Risk would be close to this.

Agreed. It was that scene and a similar scene in the 80's version of the Clash of the Titans (where Zeus also had figurines representing people and other beings) that always made me want my own Olympus Chess or figurine set.
shareI know this is an old thread, but I recall a Roman gods v Greek gods chess produced by either Franklin or Danbury Mint. Very beautiful too as I remember.
