Phineas' harpies were kinda scary when I was a child. They remind of the flying monkeys in the Wizard of Oz.

yeah they were scary to me when I was little. I used to imagine they were real as it made films more exciting and scary. The way all those stop-motion monsters moved was/is just phenomenal. One of the most amazing aspects of film and inspirational in terms of what is possible in movies.
