9 or 10 for me. It may be a huge downer, but for my money it's one of the great American films of the '60s. The photography is breathtaking and the four main actors are magnificent.

Always on my list of favorite films..I felt all the actors did a perfect job and Paul Newman was so authentic as a true Texas heel.

It's great. Newman was so good in these kinds of roles when he was younger. Patricia O'Neal wasn't a great beauty, but she sure had some chemistry with Newman in this movie. Proves looks aren't everything when it comes to sex appeal.

One of my favorites, and I think it's one of best written films too. Same director and writing duo that also did the underrated Hombre, also with Newman.
