has this film been imitated?

I think Orson Welles tried a bit with F is for Fake and Woody Allen definitely 'borrowed' from it for Stardust Memories.

Pretty sure Good Burger spoofs the opening dream sequence. There were a lot of films in the 90s that opened with dream sequences that ended by the character falling, and then waking up and shooting out of bed in daze.
