what are your top ten favourite films?
just interested, what would you say are your top ten favourite films of all time?
sharejust interested, what would you say are your top ten favourite films of all time?
shareWow... after read through those 30 something pages of "favorites", I think I saw 2001 mentioned at least 50 times.
Probably 3 or 4 David Lynch movies per list.
Taxi Driver cropped up like a sore thumb.
Sprinklings of Citizen Kane and The Godfather.
And then of course, the black sheep of bad taste, 'The Dark Knight' trilogy.
People really are content with being sheeple, aren't they?

Yes, life would be so much better if you could just tell us what we ought to like instead of allowing us to express our preferences.
They're not very original preferences.

The reason movies keep popping up is because they're so amazing, a lot of people have them in their top ten.
shareWell then it's not really their own top ten. Why would you want to have a list that's the same as everyone else's? Where's the fun in that?
Try to tell people something they don't know.

It is their top ten though. Some of my favorite movies are Citizen Kane, Sunset Blvd. and Pulp Fiction. I like them because they touched me, and they affected me. Sunset Blvd. to me is so relate-able and really grabs my fears of loneliness. I don't like it because other people do, I like it because it is good to me.
A lot of people just like the same movies. Me and my sister both have Fight Club in our top-five. It doesn't mean we're copying each other, we just really *beep* like Fight Club.
I do, however, try to watch movies that are not as well known, such as Wings of Desire and Shock Corridor. But, truly great movies will reach a wide audience and create a lot of fans.
Hmmm, well I guess that makes sense. Maybe everyone should make alternative lists, if their original top 10 is to be discarded.
