Back in the early 80's, I saw a series in reruns that had an episode with a B-47 bomber. The bomber had some kind of in-flight emergency that knocked out much of their electronic gear & knocked the pilot unconscious. In order for them to make it to a base, they had to rendezvous with a KC-135 tanker. Since their nav gear was out, the navigator had to use star sightings & time measurements to find the tanker. The copilot was inexperienced, but he managed to make contact with tanker's boom. At that point, the pilot awakened and, in a delirious state, tried to take over the docking from the co-pilot. Was this "Streetcar, Do You Read Me"? Thanks

Yes it is. I saw it a few weeks ago under the series alternate name "Crisis". The episode is named "Streetcar, Do You Read me?" (1965).

I just saw this episode last night on Antenna TV. I was very pleased with the high production values (It was like watching Bombers B-52 or A Gathering of Eagles). It was interesting to note that the B-47 featured in the episode was the only B-47 visible in any of the scenes. March AFB had transitioned to the B-52 in 1963. This episode must have been filmed in 1964 and yet no B-52's are present in any of the shots, only a lot of smaller transport planes. I guess SAC didn't want to show off all of their resources at the time.
Another great show that featured many B-47's was the Steve Canyon show that aired from 1958 to 1959.
The March Field Museum has a B-47 cockpit that was used in the filming of Strategic Air Command. Wonder if they also used it for this episode?
