What was the significance of Charlotte's hair being brown when the photo showed a blonde little girl? It can't be just so Claudette could utter the improbable line that the girl's hair "lightens" in the sun? There was definitely weird about that.
It would be refreshing if Nathan didn't test the hair. He could tell Claudette that he will help her and her daughter. And once the threat is removed, get a hair sample and test it then.
And what fresh Hell is this?, Malory from Archer(Dorothy Parker)
No idea but they are crazy as hell to even consider testing some random hair that she pulled out of a locket that she claims to be from the daughter that she just conveniently has after months of being in town. The daughter that has blonde ass hair in the photo she's tooting around.
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist
Yes, hair that dark would not lighten that much from the sun alone. It would have made more sense to have said it was a patch of baby hair. Brown haired babies sometimes become blondes. Claudette didn't seem worried at all until now and then somewhat suspect. She likes to play games.
Brown/Black haired babies sometimes become blondes.
It is entirely possible. I was born with coal black hair (a lot of it I'm told) but it fell out and came in blond (I was a 'Towhead' until about 12 or 13).
I had a friend who used to buy very ornate and pretty photo frames. She placed them all over her house; however, she NEVER removed the original "photo." She was a bit eccentric.

Actually, she was very scattered (young, in her 30s, so nothing to do with aging). She just loved to display beautiful photo frames (among other things). It never occurred to her to actually put personal photos in them. (She had plenty of friends and family, so that wasn't a problem.) After years of seeing these "photos" we just started referring to them as "her family."
You'd think she would have eventually removed the display photos and replaced them with some of her own, though! I like pretty/ornate frames too but don't have a lot of them because that would require continual dusting of them. (I hate dusting/cleaning any more than I have to already with the items I currently display.)
it is not that weird.... my hair did the same thing as a child.... i have dirty blond hair and when i was i a kid, my hair looked white during the summer because i was always outside yet when new hair was growing in, it looked like i had a bad dye job even though i didn't dye my hair as a child
I believe the brown hair is Liesel's. I think offscreen Claudette somehow blackmailed/ convinced her to submit her hair so the samples would be a match.
Liesl makes sense (within the realm of this story), but wouldn't that actually skew the DNA test too far so that it looks like Charlotte is Nathan's sister? And for that matter I guess they could claim she was in touch with Britt before coming to Port Charles.
but it was weird that when Liesl first showed up she was suspicious and all..but by the time maxi and nathan show up she was happily watching film clips of the little girl and she had tears in her eyes and was convinced it was her granddaughter..
I almost thought she was going to say the d girl had some kind of birthnark or some other revealing mark...but that didn't happen
Liesls' sudden change of character is very suspicious....it is not in her nature....and she holds on like a pitbull when something doens't add up and keeps sneaking around digging up stuff to prove her point
There was that moment when Liesl clearly identified with Claudette and empathized with her plight of fleeing from a dangerous man, drawing on her own experiences with both Victor and Faison. Maybe that and wishful thinking swayed her?
