They better bring back Epiphany

She's the head nurse! She needs to be involved in this story!

Did Bobbie replace her? No offense but I would take Booberah Jean over Epiphany any day.

haha. Well I love Bobbie but I don't think she replaced her as head nurse. It would be an interesting scenario if Michael was responsible for the firing of his grandmother!

He might need to fire both his grandmothers. 

haha, I thought of that but my focus was firing nurses. Not sure you can just fire the chief of staff. But you never know with this show.

The Chief of Staff, just like a Chief Executive Officer, can be removed by the Board.

Back in the day, Audrey was head of student nurses, and Jessie was the head of the regular nursing staff, although she was around to keep Amy Vining in line since Audrey was more of an administrating nurse than a practitioner. For a hospital with at least seven floors, there should be more than one nursing supervisor. In watching old episodes, Georgia Price also revealed she was one of the supervisors; She was on for much of the 1980's. Diana Taylor, who worked as a nurse for a good decade as well, was not a supervisor. Both Anne and Bobbie became surgical nurses at some point, and after Anne had to deal with issues with Dr. Arthur Bradshaw, they repeated the same story less than a year later by having Bobbie having issues with Dr. Mark Dante.

When Monica went off on Amy Vining for giving Alan her messages, Jessie stepped in and asked Monica firmly to follow the nursing chain of command. Monica apologized to Amy and promised Jessie that she'd stick to procedure. I don't see Bobbie becoming an administrative nurse, although I don't know if I'd want Epiphany as my supervisor if I was a student nurse either. Her disciplinary measures can sometimes be rather condescending, and with the nurses she favors, she tends to be a buttinsky in their personal lives. The only other nurse I can think of on daytime who seemed to have any authority was "Guiding Light's" Lillian Raines, although she lasted for over 25 years while most soap nurses were only on for a few years at a time, unlike doctors.
