Just being real here. She looks like death and I don't know why. I cant be bothered to watch her scenes with a straight face. If this were a horror movie, then the makeup on her would do some justice. If she isn't well, she needs to resign. Anyone agree?
shareyes...and I am not being mean putting down the actress.....they managed to put decent makeup on her for the wedding...why not keep using it????dark bangs and rest of her hair blonde...if she insists on keeping these colors,they should use a wig ( I would worry that they would get a bad one based on everthing else they have done)
the makeup people...their job is to make the actors look their best on camera.....maxies' scenes are distracting...takes you right out of the story,,,wondering what is wrong with the actress, worring is she going to be ok...
a few years ago she had I think fibroids, really bad and painful......she divorced her husband over a year ago...around that time she started having some sort of skin problem...they did many things..heavier and heavier makeup, weird shooting angles clothes and hair covering her face and skin...
she took a little time off....hope she will be ok
Well if she's having all these issues she really needs to take a step back and let some one else fill her shoes for a while. And I mean a long while until she looks closer to her original self again. The actress looks terrible and even ghastly at times. I'm stunned to even see her like that and able to still do the part of Maxie. She should be embarrassed and consider resigning from the show if she can't get it together.
shareThis is entirely the fault of the makeup artist and hairstylist. It is their job to make each actor look their best, despite any illness or injury. That is what they get paid for. KS may not be in the financial position to be able to quit her job. Very few people are in that sort of position where they can just walk away from their steady income. And she is on contract so I don't even know if that is an option for her.

shareWhen she took time off a few months ago she said she had to because of her "skin breakouts" I took that to mean acne... can she really not work if she has pimples? Really thinking about it, that just seems bizarre. People have pimples, and shouldn't a good makeup artist be able to cover it up? Perhaps that was just the "public excuse" she gave. But the more I watch her I'm starting to think makeup, hair and wardrobe are making her look sicker than she actually is. I don't know it seems like they are styling her with the purpose of "showing off" her sickness
shareStress, illness, some medications, ect. can cause breakouts and make them worse. The announcement was vague but it's up to her if she wants to go into more detail or not.
Yeah I think she said it was stress related or something? But pimples are like normal, why is it an issue if she has some pimples? And I feel like a good make up artist should have been able to cover it up. Like that girl on YouTube who had horrible horrible acne and covers it up completely, you can't tell at all and I don't even think she's a professional. I remember Kirsten from her years on Days of Our Lives and I just can't believe this is the same person. She looks anorexic. I haven't posted anything about it because some people don't want to read anything critical of her, but I've wondered why there aren't more posts about it. I was starting to wonder if it's only me who feels there's something very wrong. It's difficult to watch her scenes. I can't imagine how the other actor/actresses are dealing with looking at her during scenes with them. There is obviously something very wrong and it's happened right before our eyes.

shareI was hoping this was on purpose for some upcoming storyline. When Nina got in her face three episodes ago before they agreed not to talk about the Valentin situation, I thought she was going to ask Maxie if she as okay because she did look like crap.

Bad hairstyle and color aside, there's something unhealthy going on with her hair. It's completely dried out and brittle. If I were part of the staff putting her together, I would put her in a full blonde wig. I'd use more natural tones for makeup and I'd dress her in colorful clothes. Dressing her in an all white turtle neck only emphasizes her paleness and thinness. And believe me when I tell you I am not a fashionista--but I could do a better job than her current stylist. Which is scary.
shareYea and that was why I gave this thread the appropriate title of zombie. I have nothing against her. I used to find her amusing and delightful to watch back in the day. But it seems like eons ago since Maxie looked like MAXIE!
