Back in 1993 when the movie came out starring Harrison Ford as Kimble and Tommy Lee Jones as Gerard, NBC showed the premiere and the two-part finale of this series. Those are the only episodes I've ever seen. Does this TV series give a motive for Fred Johnson killing Helen Kimble or was it just a random act? I liked how the movie tied in her murder to something happening at the hospital.

It was random. He happened to be burglarizing the house and she came down the stairs and attacked him, as you saw in the finale. There was no particular reason he chose their house.
