Hair color in wanted posters

Four years of occasionally being detained & identified by various police departments - sometimes with mug shots taken, and always describable by the detaining cops - and Kimble's wanted poster is never updated with a photo or even an artist's rendering of him with longer black hair to accompany the original shot of him with short gray hair.

It didn't seem to matter. People still recognized him when they saw him on the wanted poster. His face was the same and that's what people remembered.

reply

Besides, if they went to all the trouble of changing the posters, Kimble would just change his hair style/color again.

reply

I assume that in those years there was much less communication between police departments.

reply

Not everybody recognized him. When my neighbor was in my place he laughed at seeing a wanted poster on my wall. I had to explain "The Fugitive" to him :)
