Cosistantly Incredible Writing, Acting and Direction

It make today's television seem trite. The episodes, often filled with excitement, at times have the maturity of Thornton Wilder plays. Almost everything today is about violence and explosions. The Fugitive was about people, about lives and about how a man on the run stopped long enough to care and make a difference. Similar shows in that same vein were Route 66 and Ben Casey. Sadly, David Janssen, talented and unique, died at an all too early age.

Yes, I agree with you. It was my favorite show of the 1960s, and maybe all time. If you ahven't already done so, you might aquire the book, "The Fugitive Recaptured." It desribes the orgigin and process for the show as well as each of the 120 episodes. It is written well and is very inforative and enjoyable. It is out of print, but you can obtain a very good used copy on Amazon.com.

"A long night for Richard Kimble. But for a fugitive, the nights are always the longest."
