Amazing list of guest stars!!

Like "The Twilight Zone" and "Alfred Hitchcock Presents", this series was a showcase for Hollywood and old Hollywood, and the stars-to-be, and a proving ground for the up-and-coming and the as-yet-unknown. The list of names reads like a who's who of the greatest character actors of the day. I lucked into a mini-treasure today--found eight 2-episode VHS tapes at a Goodwill store for 99 cents each. With the first & last episode set I bought years ago, I can look forward to binge-watching this coming winter--and enjoying the star-spotting.

Brian Keith, Vera Miles, Bruce Dern, Ed Asner, James Broderick, Diana Hyland, Betty Garrett, Ivan Dixon, Telly Savalas, Tommy Rettig, Marion Ross, Kurt Russell, Slim Pickens, Ron Howard, Carroll O'Connor, Beau Bridges, Norman Fell, Jack Klugman, Brett Sommers, Leslie Nielsen, Jeanette Nolan--that's just so far.

Add Ellen Corby and Clint Howard (who, by the way, has a fabulously long list of cameo/ character roles in movies and on tv). Also: Andrew Duggan.

None of these people you mentioned were stars at the time so its no big deal

But they were to become stars very soon. Gosh717 is simply pointing out the pleasure of seeing so many fine actors earlier in their careers, before they became so well known.

Yea most TV series from the 50s thru the 90s are all known for that

The DVD sets are actually pretty cheap on line (Edward Hamilton Books, Amazon.)
