How do big objects get into the TARDIS?

Have you ever wondered how a big object gets into the TARDIS?

The front doors are perfect for people to get into and out of the TARDIS, but they're not very practical for moving large objects into it.

I'm guessing the TARDIS simply materializes around large objects. Let's say a new TARDIS console is necessary. I would say the operator simply teleports the TARDIS around the new console to where it needs to go.

Of course, if a TARDIS needs a new console, how do you operate it to get it to materialize around a new console? But, let's not think too deeply. :)

I just remembered something from the first season of NuWho. I think the TARDIS is shown materializing around a Dalek (In The Parting Of The Ways, I believe.), which brings it into the console room. So, it's been shown it can be done. Thus, that's probably how it is done with larger objects.

Balotelli...Aguerooooo! I swear you will never see anything like this ever again!

Well, I'd be inclined to say that the TARDIS does employed folding space physics, so why not? :)

Exactly.

LEELA: That's silly.
DOCTOR: That's transdimensional engineering, a key Time Lord discovery.

When the doors are opened from within, they are large, That's how

A few options:

1) Transmat - transport directly in

2) Miniaturizer - move it in and enlarge it again

3) Chameleon Circuit - to make the outside of the TARDIS big

4) Anything else spacey-wacey

The TARDIS simply materializes around them.

In TIME-FLIGHT, the Master materialized his TARDIS around a Concorde passenger jet.

The same way that Gibbs gets his boats out.

Colin Baker in his second season? Yes I have wondered. Just getting his clown like permed locks through the door would be a struggle let alone his expanding waistline.

The secret is the head goes first. Meanwhile I can put Troughton and McCoy in my pocket. 
