OT-ish: FYI, Lost episode of The Avengers discovered/announced!

Yes apparently an episode from the much fabled, largely missing first series of the iconic sixties series has been found of which, according to Avengers fans, is borderline miraculous.

It was recovered as part of a larger film collection apparently, further details of which have yet to be announced. Hmm.

Either way gives us all hope for more missing 'Who given the incredibly slim chances of finding anything more from the Avengers' first season. I doubt that the aforementioned unspecified other material will be Power of the Daleks episodes 1 to 6 though somehow!



According to the FaceAche page Doctor Who Missing Episodes Discussion Group ... there's 4 days to go. I don't know what for.

Yes I heard of this apparent countdown too.

I wouldn't be too expectant though as this motley group have a somewhat 'divisive' reputation and are highly unlikely to be in possession of sensitive/secret information....

We will see though. 

Absolutely and this was announced as part of an acquired collection of previously missing material via the Kaleidoscope organisation (though the Avengers episode was apparently secured elsewhere/separately).

They're apparently announcing more previously lost programmes from said collection daily, around 9:30pm GMT I believe.

Tonight was a previously missing episode of Softly Softly of which, against expectations that the haul would be exclusively ITV, is a BBC show lest we forget! 

Yeah I know, the chances that they'll announce any 'Who is extremely slim to put it mildly. Still, it's good that this material is still being found.

Personally I'm hoping for some Morecambe and Wise tomorrow night! 
