I don't know how Jeopardy! airs in Europe, if it does, but, last week, the Daleks were a $2,000 question. The answer was something to the effect:
"'Exterminate!' is the battle cry of this fictional Doctor Who alien race from the planet Skaro."
And someone in America actually got it. Probably because they saw NuWho on BBC America and not by being a fan of Classic Who.

I've never seen it on (or advertised on) British TV.
However us brits are familiar with it as it's been in loads of other stuff (Groundhog Day comes readily to mind)

I hate Jeopardy. The "Answers" are really oddly phrased questions, and the "Questions" don't really act as a question to the "Answer." Intelligent topics, dumb framing.
