Having started the show over, I am reminded of how Barbara kept on having men fall for her, only to turn them down. And it all started with Ganatus in The Mutants(The Daleks.) When I first watched the series from the beginning I was surprised that they would have reversed the girl in every port trope with Barbara being the one breaking the hearts instead of Ian. I wonder if this was another of Verity Lambert's reversing of the sexes like she did with the originally all male Drahvins in Galaxy 4. Either way, Barbara is still one of my favorite companions from either series, and I guess I am one of those men who she worked her charms on.

Apart from Ganatus in THE DALEKS, I'm struggling to remember any other romantic liaisons that Barbara had the opportunity of pursuing. She was certainly able to make friends, but as for romantic possibilities...

However, Josephine Grant and Perpugilliam Brown had multiple admirers during their time travelling with the Doctor. Although I feel Peri got a raw deal in this regard.

Ganatus from THE MUTANTS(the daleks). She had Autloc from The Aztecs fall for her, if he didn't think she was a divine being, he would have gone there. She fell for Leon in The Reign of Terror. The guy from The Dalek Invasion of Earth. The unwanted advances of the creepy guy in The Keys of Marinus, Nero in The Romans, and El Akir in The Crusade. I can't think of the rest off the top of my head right now.
