I own both of his stories on DVD. I thought his contributions to both DVD releases were invaluable.

At least these croaked from old age! For a while, it seemed like cancer was the biggest cause with all the smoking these people do over there! I was in such shock when I was told Mary Tamm lost her battle with the disease; not to mention her husband dropping dead hours after his eulogy of his dearly departed!   

You're correct that there were a lot of premature deaths from cancer a few years ago.

Elisabeth Sladen, Mary Tamm & Caroline John were all taken away by cancer within the space of a year or two.

Fortunately this year most of the people we lost had lived long lives.

For some reason he wasn't mentioned in the DW obituaries I consulted.

He gave a good performance in 'Snakedance' & had a long career.
