I say Peter Cushing should return to the role!
or at least Guy Henry with bits of Cushing Cgi'd to his face.
I'm somewhat interested in the next Doctor. I stopped watching NuWho after season 8, Capaldi's first season. I didn't care much for his portrayal. I thought he was better in his first Christmas special. For me, it was the writing that dragged the show down so far. Some of the episodes that season were, to me, awful.
Perhaps with a new Doctor and show runner it will be time to give it another chance.
