Commentary has spoilers. See the film without it!

They tell you the ending near the beginning where it has no bearing at all. It seems like the spoiler just wants to let us know he remembers the ending or heard it somewhere and wants to repeat it. His concern is hero worship, not helping you enjoy the movie. Mostly they talk about “Sam 'The Man' Peckinpah.” Very little substance about the movie. You get stuff where they might say. I really like this dialogue thru here. Then they talk right over it so that you cannot hear a thing.

Obvoiusly the best way to watch the film the commentary is after viewing the certain movie a few times. Not during the first time around. That's what it seems like from your post. Also, commentary tracks ARE suppose to run right over the dialogue. PLEASE just watch the movies without the commetaries the first time around or if you have objections to them. If you don't you'll be missing out on a lot of interesting items.

I usually watch the commentary track right after my first viewing of the regular movie. After many times in doing this, I came up with one solution to not hearing the dialogue.

I just turn on the subtitles.

Usually, I don't need them but if I'm not as familiar with a movie, it helps.

Now with RTHC, I can practically quote it in every scene.

But for a movie you've only scene once or twice, it's a good idea.

Just a reminder -- it is also helpful to watch the movie BEFORE returning it to the video store. Also, in case anyone is confused, I find it preferable to watch the beginning of the film before the end.

"Boy that was really exciting. I bet you're a big Lee Marvin fan aren't ya."

Why does no one call it by its original title: "Guns in the Afternoon"?

Nothing exists more beautifully than nothing.

Thought I'd let you know.

LOL!

I was also pissed because the ending to the movie gave away spoilers about the end of the movie.

Who watches a movie with the commentary track on before watching the movie?

Let's take a vote: Who wants to stay and die?

Usually when there is a commentary track the filmmakers assume you have seen the movie first.
