The best film ever?
The only reason for not conferring this title is the greatness of Saturday Night and Sunday Morning.
Immense.
Maybe that's because of Alan Sillitoe. The novella is pretty flimsy so he did an amazing job of fleshing it out into a stunning script. Credit to Mr, Richardson too.
I'm sure T.R. would have directed Saturday Night (- wasn't he too busy? )
So he produced it instead. Those Woodfall guys rock!
