Is it possible to buy the recording of Jerusalem used in the movie? It was a very straightforward rendition unlike alot of the sappy ones out there.

don't know, but you might like Billy Bragg's rendition of Jerusalem on his recently re-released CD The Internationale.
Sappy it's not.
Bruce Dickinson remade this tune on The Chemical Wedding. Brilliant rendition.
