shareBasically the gold mine was from an old "John" from her past that she never would have expected anything from. You see, they had to only allude to anything sexual back in early 60's films. This is why the wagon master kept saying she was "built so well" every time he tried to propose marriage to her. This is also why she was still single even with all the attention she was getting as a dancer/singer.
