Perhaps the detractors of this film. . .

For all those that were disappointed / didn't like / were embarressed by / hated/ complained about / bellyached / cried over / threw a fit / bitched / moaned / felt compelled to share their feelings . ..

Perhaps you could get togather and sue to have this film removed from civilization, all copies destroyed, and vestages removed. . . psychotherapy to remove the memory from everyones mind.

Sue the directors, writers, actors, script consultants, cameramen, gaffers, sound men, whoever created Cinerama etc for 17 Trillion dollars.

It was a different era. This and lots of other stuff would have a different approach (if done now).
Critics can complain but they should take that into consideration.
I saw Robert Taylor slap Denise Darcel in the face: it wouldn't happen today, not like that.

If you can't mentally put yourself in the period a movie was made, and the period it depicts, in order to view it as it was meant to be viewed by its makers, the number of movies you can enjoy will be severely restricted. Judging early to mid 20th century movies from a 21st century woke point of view is pointless, silly, and lowbrow.
