i think i watched this movie in my early teens back in the seventies in a small local cinema and has been one of those movies where a very small part has been stored in memory for ever.
All that is still stuck in my head is a very moving ending scene were all spartans died trying to cover cuddled together under their shields. For years i thought 'kirk douglas' was one of the leading actors with title 'the last of the spartans'. But with both my memory playing tricks and title changes between usa/uk/europe releases this movie comes closest to my memory as i ever found.
Would really like to see it again if this is the one just to see if i will remember more parts of it. As some of you guys might have seen it more recently is this likely to be what i saw while ago? Tnx for any help,
