This may be a retorical question, but I will ask anyway. This movie is directed by John Ford and stars James Stewart and Richard Widmark. So where's the DVD? I have not seen this film and would very much like to, as it seems like a no brainer.

I've been looking for the DVD for some time - no joy so far.

if you have a multi region dvd player, this great film is sold on ebay in the region 2 format

I do not have a Muilti-Region DVD Player, yet. However, with the number of films that are not available in R1, I will probably invest in one soon.

What is this Region issue. Pardon my ingnorance, but what is the difference between the R1, R2, and Multi-Region. I thought there was only one DVD format (until the recent HD and blue formats)

Region 2 discs will only play in Europe: Region 1 in the US - not sure about others.

Just saw this movie on VHS. Despite some tacked-on syrupy romance, it's excellent. Worth hunting down in any format.
