Capra vs Ford
I recently heard that Capra & Ford did not get on well during the filming of POM but no details were given as to why.Does anyone know more about this at all?

Thank you for that info. Man,Frank sure had his problems with that movie didn't he? Although not one of his best films,I do enjoy POM.
sharethe main reasion I watch the film is to enjoy Viewing Ann Margaretnuff said and the Great Peter Falk great comic Timming.

Capra in his book 'The Name Above The Title' that UA bluntly told Capra that he had to use Glenn Ford or they would not have financed the film. Ford in turn cast his then girlfriend the role that Shirley Jones was cast. Jones was paid off and departed the film.
My best suggestion would have been
Steve McQueen as Dave and Stella Stevens as the female lead.Bette got Apple Annie and did a good job. Again I would have cast Jean Arthur ( who turned the part down)
