It's been remastered. The DVD may be on its way. I fear that it may not be for a while because United Artists' rights are now under Sony. Sony is shifting away from developing back catalog titles for DVD--they're trying to prepare for the blu-ray launch.

With all the garbage that is out on DVD, it's such a shame that something good like this isn't out on DVD yet!

It's a great movie.
Europe has it on DVD or at least England does but the US doesn't as of yet which is a travesty in itself especially with it not far from it's golden anniversary and comentary tracks from the three surviving lead stars would be fabulous and TCM just showed it again two sundays ago as the last film in a mini marathon of Joanne's work

I have been going through Paul Newman movies on netflix. He seems to take his shirt off in every movie he is in. Is this any different?

not much no other than there's only one little scene where he's shirtless as in when Ram & Lillian are sleeping together and she's in a slinky black what looks like silk nightgown and looking quite happy with herself I might add yeah I love jazz as well
