Nigel Green
It states in the CAST CREDITS section that his scenes were deleted. Anyone know the reason why?

In memoirs written By Harryhausen it states Nigel Green was booked to play the character the remains of are found by castaways but the flashback scenes were never filmed .

I just checked the cast credits here and saw no entry for Nigel Green. Could any such reference have been removed since the date of the OP's initial question, now six years ago?
After all, even if Green had been hired for the movie, how could he be listed as "scenes deleted" if his scenes were never filmed in the first place?
