The best Hudson/Day movie

I saw this movie at the theater when it was first released, and I have always thought it was the best of all their movies together. They were such good friends in real life and that comraderie they shared was so evident in how comfortable they are with each other. It just enhances their movies. I think I watched this one 3 times in the theater, and I have just ordered the boxed set that includes it. Don't know why I haven't done this before. Tony Randall is a hoot in this movie. He was always under-rated IMO. I used to laugh at the "ad campaign" that made the word "VIP" a 2-syllable word, using a southern accent. I never even wondered why the title didn't match the plot. I guess when you're a young girl, enamored with a cute love story, you just don't think about that. I thought it was so romantic, and still do.

I liked Send Me No Flowers the best of the 3.

I 'Pillow Talk', second preferance would be 'Send me no Flowers', third is 'Lover Come Back', but that could just be because that's the order I've seen them in

I've gotta go with Send Me No Flowers, especially with Tony Randall's 3-day bender.

It's so funny that you mentioned this, because I remember when I first saw this movie when I was a kid, one of the first things that popped into my head was, "What does the title have to do with the movie?", but after my second viewing, I realized I didn't know and didn't care.

I think it's the best, too, and it's the only one I didn't see as a kid. Rock sure plays duplicitous a lot, doesn't her?

I feel sad watching Rock:(

Love all three movies, but this is definitely my favourite.

You can't palm off a second-rater on me. You gotta remember I was in the pink!

My favorite is "Pillow Talk", hands down. I've seen it so many times I can't even count them and will watch it any time it is on. I've watched "Send Me No Flowers" and "Lover Come Back", but I don't have the urge to see those over and over as I do "Pillow Talk". Doris Day, Tony Randall, Thelma Ritter, and Rock Hudson's characters, as well as the actors/actresses' portrayals of them, are just great in that particular one.
