Can someone please add some quotes?
Seriously. I want to represent this, one of my favourite films, in my quote below but I'm stuck with the only one available.
"We played with life and lost." - Jules et Jim, François Truffaut.

There is an error in memorable quotes :
"Catherine: Watch us, Jim!"
No, and the film says : "Watch us, Jules". IMDB got wrong.
- Who is God ?
- When you close your eyes and make a wish, God is the one who doesn't care about.
The subtitles of the Criterion DVD say the former.
"We played with life and lost." - Jules et Jim, François Truffaut.
I know I am paraphrasing on this one, but this line made me laugh for ever.
Your breasts are the only beautiful bombs I know.
Catherine: At fifteen I was in love with Napoleon. I dreamt I met him in a lift. He made love to me then left me. Poor Napoleon ... I was taught "Our Father who art in heaven." I thought it meant "art." I imagined my father with an easel, painting in Paradise.
I believe I've said something funny, at least amusing. You might try to smile."
(The lines originally belonged to another, minor character in Roche's novel. But it suited Catherine perfectly. They parallel her experiences with Jules and Jim, with whom she is at first passive but, before long, actively controlling.)
Its hard to remember them exactly word for word, and it might already be on here but I love this one: "So, Jim and Jules then? No, Jules and Jim!"
Let's never come here again because it will never be as much fun.
The quote about playing with life is actually "we played with the source of life and lost" in the original french

Some of my favorites are "lt's amazing that they allow women in churches What have they to discuss with God?", "Jim - She's not so grasshopper, more like an ant. Jules - Beware!" but i prefer them in French.
" Vitriol for lying eyes" - Something like that.
