When Melinda tells Paul what happened to her husband, she replies that he was killed at the battle of San Jacinto. The total casualties from both sides at San Jacinto are more than 600 Mexican soldiers killed, nine Texans. Talk about having a bad day!

So Melinda must be very bad at math when saying her husband was killed four years ago at the Battle of San Jacinto (April 21, 1836), or else The Comancheros (1961) happens in an alternate universe where the Texas War of Independence happened in 1839, not 1836.
