Tully Crow's Poetry Recital

In the bar, Lee Marvin's character, Tully Crow, recites an exerpt from a poem: "...and by that crimson setting sun, peace come to Forest Glade, and of the redskins, they was none, but history had been made..." Could anyone come with the poem he was quoting? I scoured 'the Google' and the 'interweb' and came up with squat. Any help?

Why isn't that in the quote section?
There is more Gravy about you then the Grave. Scrooge.
